How do I open the ones for the Pearl? It gives me some weird error when trying to extract.

it went halfway through the setup and i got the white screen. APP ERROR 523. I tried to reconnect DM.. but now its not connecting to the phone. Any ideas? Thank you guys...

Just use JL_Cmdr and wipe your device and begin again.

If you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, re-connect to Desktop Manager again and RUN THE APPLICATION LOADER and it should load the OS to the device.
You forgot to post my comment that said to use JL_Cmdr to wipe the device. He'll need to do that before getting to the part you said.

When update goes wrong and you restart it, where does the backup go, and how do you reload all apps to the bb?
i need some help, my device keeps showing the 2 arrows at the top as if theres data transfer going on, but there isnt. call fails half of the time..whats going on?
